Super easy to install, it takes batteries that are questionable and makes me confident in them. Let me explain car batteries that are used frequently can have a battery issues they let you down here and there in the cold or when your son leaves his blue tooth thing plugged in (ask me how I know). I bought the first XC400 style unit six years ago. It allowed the first battery to last 9 additional years. This was after the battery would no longer take a charge at 2 years old. It was first demonstrated to me at my work. Skeptical gave it a try. Since then I have shared the knowledge to dozens. They do work. Had two of the original power pulse 12/24v designators. Got them in 2010 and they’ve been a vital piece of kit, I’ve recovered countless batteries and never had a problem with them. Recently, I had a battery charger go bad and completely drained the battery. Used my trusty power pulse to recover it and saved myself a premature $650 to replace it. After that I decided to get another power pulse to stay on the battery at all times. I saw it mentioned that it was smaller and when it arrived I was pleasantly surprised at how much smaller they were able to get it! And from what I can tell, performs just the same as the original. In the 2 weeks that I've had the charger, I've paid for it 10 times over by not having to buy new batteries. I have batteries that were rated at 950CCA from the factory that are pushing over 1,000CCA after being pulled from the dead battery pile and charged.

I used it to revive a battery that one off the earlier battery keepers said was at 25% of capacity after having been on for a week. The new version brought it up to 100% in three days.

I’m pleased to see that manufacturing was moved from China to Taiwan, where the quality of materials and production is higher. The battery clips on my previous Chinese XC400 are rusting through the plating already.
